Artist's Comments

This is the inner most area of Angkor Wat, which - incidentally - is the world's largest religious monument.

On the matter of technique - this is not HDR. In fact, I find a large percentage of HDR photos to be garish and over done and rarely dapple in the technique myself (although when done well, they do look fantastic.)

No, in fact, this is all manually done using different exposures blended together in Photoshop. A little bit of burning and dodging helped finish it off.

Another tip, for anyone looking to photograph Angkor Wat - lunch time is when it's at its most empty. If you're looking to get the all important 'empty' shot, this is the time to come. Why? Because, being lunch time, all the bus loads of tourists get whisked away to have lunch!
