Artist's Comments

I loved Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. It was a hectic, tacky, souvenir filled tourist trap but I couldn't help but go back again and again and again.

After months in the Middle East my haggling skills had been honed to a fine art.

I like the converging lines disappearing into the distance...it displays the vastness of the place, a never ending sea of souvenirs :p

That's very nice :3 though I'm in the ME but never been to Turkey x) this summer many people are traveling from here because of two silly drama series.

It's great to hear that your haggling skills have improved. Although I'm from that region, I suck big time at bargaining. I've been to Khan El-Khalili (a similar bazaar) here in Egypt for a few times and I've realized that every one going there should have good bargaining skills. It makes me wonder why they aren't honest about the price from the first time!

Great photo BTW and excellent choice for the title. :)

very nice, catches the atmosphere perfectly

that really is a typical thing they say. Or others are: "Oh my boy, you have veeery nice eyes... I'll make it half the price for you!" ... And the same for the next person too, of course^^
